Group Equipment Classes at Yellow Pilates: What to Expect

Are you curious about joining a studio equipment Pilates class at Yellow Pilates? Whether you're new to Pilates or looking to deepen your practice, our group classes offer a supportive and personalised approach to help you achieve your goals. Here's what you can expect when you join one of our sessions for the first time.

Small Group Classes

At Yellow Pilates, we keep our group equipment classes small, with a maximum of five clients per session. However, it's more common to see two or three clients working simultaneously on their own tailored programs. Despite the group setting, each client follows a personalised routine designed to meet their specific needs and goals.

You’ll be guided by a single expert instructor, Michelle, who will offer you personalised suggestions, adaptations, and modifications throughout the session. This ensures that your workout is both safe and effective, catering to your unique body and objectives.

Michelle

Our founder, Michelle, has undergone over a thousand hours of training in the Pilates method and is a comprehensive teacher. This means she has an in-depth understanding of how to effectively use and modify the equipment for a wide range of needs, including medical conditions that may impact movement patterns. Her expertise ensures that your sessions are not only beneficial but also safe and tailored to your specific requirements. Learn more about Michelle here.

A Welcoming and Relaxed Environment

One of our core values at Yellow Pilates is creating a warm and welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable and supported. Our classes are relaxed and friendly, allowing you to connect with other clients while focusing on your personal journey. There's always time to ask questions, provide feedback, and receive individualised attention from your instructor.

Pilates Equipment

Our Glasgow City Centre studio is equipped with a wide range of Pilates apparatus, including the Cadillac, Reformer, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel, and Spine Corrector. In addition to these, we also incorporate various small equipment such as foam rollers, squishy overhead balls, Magic Circles, and resistance bands. The diversity of equipment allows for endless possibilities in your Pilates class, keeping each session fresh, engaging, and challenging.

The Joy of Movement

One of the things our clients love most about equipment Pilates is the creativity and variety it offers. With so many options and combinations, you’ll never get bored. Each session brings something new, and you’ll often find yourself pleasantly surprised by the different exercises and equipment you get to explore.

How long does it last?

Group equipment classes typically last between 60 to 70 minutes, depending on how busy the studio is. During this time, we aim to keep you moving and engaged, but there’s always room for breaks when needed. The goal is to ensure you leave each session feeling revitalised and accomplished.

Affordable Options

Group equipment classes at Yellow Pilates offer a more accessible price point compared to private sessions, making it easier for you to commit to regular practice. We encourage you to stick to a consistent class time each week and recommend attending sessions weekly for the best results.

Working with injury or medical conditions

Equipment Pilates is particularly beneficial for those working with injuries, recovering from surgery, or managing medical conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis, pregnancy, or spinal conditions. We’re always open to discussing your specific needs before you join, ensuring that your experience is both safe and effective.
