If you’re gearing up for your first Pilates equipment class at Yellow Pilates, you might be wondering what to bring along. The good news is that you don’t need much—essentially, just yourself!

However, a few items can help enhance your experience and ensure you’re comfortable throughout the class. Here’s a quick guide to what you might want bring with you.

1. Water Bottle

Staying hydrated is key when exercising. Even a slower-paced Pilates class can leave you feeling thirsty. Make sure to bring a water bottle to keep yourself refreshed throughout the session. We have refill stations available at the studio, so you can top up your bottle whenever you need.

2. Comfortable Clothing

Wearing comfortable, stretchy clothing is important for any Pilates class. Choose outfits that allow you to move freely and comfortably, such as leggings, shorts, and a vest or t-shirt. While tighter-fitting clothes can be helpful for our instructors to observe your movement patterns more accurately, the most important thing is that you feel comfortable and confident in whatever you choose to wear.

3. Grippy Socks

While some Pilates studios require grippy socks (socks with a non-slip bottom), at Yellow Pilates, we leave it up to you. If you prefer wearing grippy socks to help you stay stable on the equipment, feel free to bring a pair. However, if you’d rather go barefoot or wear regular socks, that’s perfectly fine too. We can even add sticky bands to the equipment for extra traction if needed.

4. Everything Else is Provided

At Yellow Pilates, we’ve got you covered when it comes to equipment. From mats and resistance bands to magic circles and all the main Pilates apparatus, you won’t need to worry about bringing anything extra.

Just come ready to move and enjoy your session!

We’re excited to welcome you to the studio and help you get the most out of your Pilates experience. Whether it’s your first time or you’re a seasoned pro, our team is here to support you every step of the way. See you in class!
